Gil knows the value of being a listener. That's why he's running for Naperville School District 203 school board. To him, its not about politics its about families, students, parents and educators. He wants everyone's voice to be heard.
We can't win this race without your help. Word-of-mouth, host a meet and greet, hand out signs and social media platforms are all ways of helping us achieve our goals together.
If we join together and make our voices heard, we can fight for the change we want to see for our community!

I am excited to announce that I will be running for the Naperville 203 school board. I am running to become one of 7 members of the non-partisan school board. It's not about which party you choose to be part of. It's about our schools and our kids' future.
My wife Teri and I moved to Bolingbrook (d203) with our two boys in the fall of 2019.
After our oldest son graduated from West Chicago High School, we made the decision to start our youngest son's school career in Naperville 203. Eventually, he will graduate from the same school district as his mother, even if it is a rival high school.
Being a blue-collar worker for most of my adult life, I bring a different perspective to the school board. I had the honor of serving on the West Chicago Elementary School District 33 Board of Education. While my time on the board, I served 2 years as a member, 2 years as the board secretary, 2 years as the board Vice- President and 2 amazing years as the board president. During my time on the D33 board, we expanded the early education in the district, started all day kindergarten, and launched the dual language program that other districts use as a baseline for their own dual language programs. I sat on two teacher negotiations committees; one support staff negotiations committee and we navigated a teacher strike.
I also had the honor and privilege to sit on the SASED board of control. SASED is an alternative school based in Naperville. I want to bring this experience to D203 board of education.
When elected I promise to be a sounding board for every stakeholder in our community especially the students and parents.
Thank you,
Gilbert (GIL) Wagner
